Annual STEAM UP – August Bank Holiday Weekend.
This annual free August Bank Holiday event, which supports the Victoria Hospital in Wimborne, features steam engines (who stop off on their way to the Great Dorset Steam Fayre), real ales, a BBQ/ Hog Roast and live music – a winning combination! The 2011 Steam Rally took place on the 27th August.
Thanks to the generosity of the local steam community and other local businesses the 2011 event raised the following amounts:
Victoria Hospital stalls raised over £1000
A local scout group raised £236
The gallopers raised £775
